Longannet by FreyFox Longannet by FreyFox
I've been practicing with more traditional mediums lately. This one is a watercolour pencil landscape of Longannet Power Station in Fife, Scotland. When it was commissioned in 1973 it was the largest coal fired power station in Europe. It was decommissioned in 2016.

Thats a very good rendition of these buildings here! I'd say it's rather electrifying that you're doing other mediums here =3

I always have this strange fascination with industrial architecture and structures such as antenna towers and power lines such as this one. I really find the Longannet Power Station pic you have drawn quite intriguing. Good job, Frey. ^^

Makes me think of a nuclear power plant in a town about...15-20 miles from where I live. Fortunately they don't have Homer Simpson for a safety inspector, or at least they don't as far as I know

Nice sketch although I have to admit...I don't think I'd want to live anywhere near something like this. I've already got some health issues to deal with (I'm asthmatic, among other things)...I think living next to something like this would be really detrimental to my health. It's definitely not a place you want to live near if you've already got health problems! :D

Longannet power station was decommissioned in 2016, but we still have two nuclear plants in Scotland - Hunterston B and Torness. Neither are near me though ^^.

it looks and reminds me of the power plant in Joseph city (an unincorporated community near Flagstaff)
My uncle's house is a few miles from the plant and the train tracks.
